From the wedding of a cousin of a friend I made in Arabic class. It was a bit of a daunting task, but who knows why I felt that way. Everyone there was so warm and inviting. It really was a treat to shoot.

This day. Wow. There was so much going on in term of media attention. The amount of photographers present was staggering, and I felt a little bit like part of the blood-sucking paparazzi. Considering I wasn't actually there on assignment, I just kind of hung back. This is a photograph of one of my co-workers at the time, Lauren. She just happened to be the musical entertainment of the day.

'til death do us part

I always thought that the line "'til death do us part" was a delightfully morbid aspect of traditional weddings. I couldn't decide on the b/w or color version. The sky was so beautiful that day, but you can see so much more detail in b/w. See the color version here.

More from the Obama Rally

This isn't the best photography from that day, but it's still one of my favorites. There are people holding and shaking signs, clapping, cheering, snapping photographs, flashing bulbs - but for that little girl, it's only her and Obama.
